Christopher Deans, founder and owner of Evergreen Smart Spaces liked the idea of living in a home where the majority of everyday functions like safety, energy efficiency and comfort could all be centrally controlled. After all, cars can parallel park themselves in our driveways and robotic lawnmowers can take care of the gardening, so why shouldn't we have homes where lighting, heating, cooling and shade were all automated? Additionally, we live in a time where many households are feeling the affect of the rising cost of energy bills, whilst many individuals are concerned about climate change, so energy efficiency is an important factor to a great number of households.
Christopher wanted intelligent and convenient automation in his own home. He scoured the market for something that would meet their needs but found what was on offer to be impractical, complicated and expensive. Then he found the supplier, Loxone...
